Q-Dot

reetings everyone, my name is Q Dot. When I’m not flying around in my hip hop superhero cape rapping, making beats, recording, performing, and running my label (Tre’dmarks) I go simply by Q or Quincy. In case you’re wondering, I was named after Quincy Jones – I like to think my older brothers were onto something, they named me.

I am from Seattle -I think it’s one of the best cities in America. Yes, I like Starbucks, I also illegally download music, watch history channel and love historical epic movies. It’s also my firm belief that there are too many rappers in the world. I mean you, rapper.

I indeed left college for a record deal at Interscope…that never materialized. It’s also true I got to open for Kanye West and Sir Mix a Lot –that guy is hilarious. Funny fact, summer ‘08 I did my first summer jam in Houston Texas where, surprisingly, more people on the street knew about me there than at home. Go figure. Also true I was one of the first cats from my part of the world to have a music video on a major network in over a decade. Get at me.
