About
Moral Crux
Moral Crux was formed in Ephrata, WA. one cold night in 1983 by James T. Farris and Jeff Jenkins. Prior to this, James had just left the band he was in doing '77 covers [(Clash, Pistols, Ramones, etc.) plus early hardcore, and a few originals.] Due to the other band members wanting to make money instead of honest music.Meanwhile, Jeff was still in high school learning to play guitar. So, as a result of James' frustrations and socio-political consciousness, and Jeff's fascination with punk / hardcore guitar playing, Moral Crux was born.
Finally! in 1986 Jody Kimmell and Justin Warren, (AKA) "The Noisome Rhythm Section," from neighboring, but not friendly, Moses Lake were recruited. The mission was accomplished. Now, through much dedicated and uncompromising effort the band remains to be one of the most underrated bands of our time. In a time where "punk" has been exploited and idealism is forgotten, you can count on these guys to deliver honest music the way it is meant to be. When you use the term "pop-punk" in a loose sense, you didn't get it. When you use the term "underrated", you just might be on to something.
