As a prizewinner of Montreal's Musique Française, she traveled to the abbey of Royaumont, France, to study and perform Italian music of the Middle Ages. Other international engagements have included J.C. Bach's Fürchte dich nicht in the London Bach Festival with English Voices under the direction of Timothy Brown, Mozart's Coronation Mass under the direction of Stephen Cleobury in Cambridge, as well as a series of concerts throughout Cambridge with lutenist Taro Takeuchi.
In addition to her multi-faceted career as a soloist, Ms. Washeim has also been engaged as an adjudicator, clinician and vocal coach. Recent engagements have included an evening of Baroque music with members of the Regina Symphony Orchestra as well as an evening concert for Brock University's Chamber Music Series. Since moving to Victoria in August 2003, Ms. Washeim's engagements include performances with the St. Cecilia Orchestra, Sooke Philharmonic and Victoria Civic Orchestra.
